LinkedIn company-page engagement

Why ClientTurn does not turn people who engage with your LinkedIn posts into prospects, and what you can use instead

1 min readUpdated 26 September 2026

ClientTurn does not turn people who comment on or react to your LinkedIn Company Page posts into prospects, and it will not.

Why

LinkedIn's API terms list restricted uses of member data. Using it to identify sales prospects or create leads is one of them. Engagement data from your company page is member data, so using it to find prospects would break those terms, whatever the technical route.

An earlier version of ClientTurn included a company-page engagement source that was never switched on. It has been removed. ClientTurn does not request LinkedIn's company-page engagement permission when you connect LinkedIn.

What you can use instead

  • LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms. When someone submits a form on your LinkedIn ad, they have asked to hear from you, and they arrive as a lead.
  • Your own list. You can import LinkedIn's export of your own 1st-degree connections, or any list you own, as prospects. See LinkedIn, assisted.
  • Assisted outreach. ClientTurn prepares and records LinkedIn messages that you send yourself from your own account.

If someone who engaged with your post replies to you or messages you, that is a conversation they started. You can add them yourself with the Add lead wizard.
